Channel Normalization Work Carried Out on Jalan Kramat Soka

Senen Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Task Force, Central Jakarta, is currently normalizing water channel on Jalan Kramat Soka RW 02, Kramat Urban Village. Normalization was carried out to follow up resident's request through last year's Musrenbang.

We normalize the channel to increase its capacity

Senen Sub-district SDA Task Force Head, Zulfahmi conveyed, normalization was carried out to repair the damage part in southern side. In this work, his side planned to install u-ditch with size 40x40x120 centimeters along 130 meters.

"We normalize the channel to increase its capacity thus it can minimize inundation around the location. Moreover, the channel is also clogged due to mud and garbage," he mentioned, Tuesday (12/14).

Initially, he added, channel's width was only 30 centimeters with depth 60 centimeters. Now, it had been widen to 40 centimeters with depth 80 centimeters. Normalization work has been carried out since November 13, 2021 and currently the progress has reached 50 percent or 65 meters.

"We deploy 12 personnel and manual tools such as hoe, crowbar, concrete hammer, and others. We are targeting to complete it by the end of this month," he stated.
